Carscoop Reader Mihkel sent in his rendering of a [previous generation, E60] 5-Series Convertible (see a one off E34 M5 Cabrio here) , a type of car BMW would probably be willing to consider the way it’s been blitzing the market with redundant models lately… Someone over in Munich has been drinking the Kool-Aid, because what was once a nice, solid lineup has gotten bloated with “interesting” variants trying to fill every niche possible.
The 5-Series range has a sedan, a LWB version of the sedan (only for China), a station wagon, and whatever the GT is (with a 6-Series sedan set to join the lineup in 2012). Heck, why not a 5-Series Convertible to fill the “product gap” between the 3er and 6er drop tops… Leave your thoughts below.
