Thanks to the worldwide web of ours, we now have some video of the one and only (so far) recall-inducing 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. For the full story, check out our previous post here. The nitty-gritty is that a guy, his wife, one of their mothers, and their 19-month-old son were in the car when the steering wheel decided it wasn’t really needed anymore and took a hike…at 65 miles per hour.

The result was safely coasting to a stop and the entirety of GM uttering a collective “Thank God”. For the video showcasing the detached wheel in all its glory, have a peek below. Hopefully we won’t be seeing any more flubs like this on ANY cars in the future. After all, by now companies should have that whole steering wheel thing pretty much locked down.
