Trolleys are an environmentally friendly mode of transportation with great benefits for bustling cities.
However, they are not trouble free as they draw electricity from overhead wires using spring-loaded trolley poles, which can come off the rails causing the electric bus to come to a halt.
In this event, the trolley driver has to come out and re-connect the poles to the wires. Usually it’s more of a hassle than anything else, but sometimes it can be much more dangerous… Check out the video that follows and you’ll see what we mean.
