Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes on the road at one time or another, but if anything else, when you do mess up and especially if your actions endanger the well-being of another driver or motorcyclist, it’s only fitting that, if possible, you at least stop to apologize and see if everything’s okay.

Apparently, being polite was too much to ask for a ‘King of the Road’ in an E46 BMW 3-Series saloon who cut off a motorcyclist near the city of Palo Alto, in California.

Even though the biker was forced to hop over the pavement to avoid the crash, the BMW owner continued as if nothing ever happened!

YouTube user “P4i1” describes the encounter thusly on his channel:

So… This is what I did: I saw a car that might enter my right of way and weaved, start slowing down. s I saw the car proceed with the turn (WTF!), I swerved and start emergency braking.

Then I hit the first dip at the side of the road, so hard that my throttle hand slipped and you hear revs. There were not enough pavement for complete stop, and once I hit the dirt my front immediately locked and I start loosing it, bike was falling on the side. I fully released the brake, and was very easy on the handle bars, so bike stabilized.

When hit hard another dip, curb and dirt bumps and my throttle hand slipped again, that’s why you hear revs second time. I pulled the clutch and rolled to stop with reapplying front brake.

I was thinking the driver would stop for a chat, looked at him (some young dude) He just quickly looked at me and proceed without stopping.”
