The newly updated 2013 Taurus with the SHO Performance Package is Ford’s answer to those looking for a big-bone sedan with an adequate amount of horses under its hood.
The all-wheel drive model sports a turbocharged, direct-injection Ecoboost 3.5-liter V6, which is good for 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. In the U.S., the SHO is priced at $39,995 including destination.
In this new promo video, Ford brought the 2013 Taurus SHO to the Grattan Raceway in Belding, Michigan, to convince us that it can play both the role of an enjoyable car on the track and a daily driver, with some additional commentary from the people that engineered it.
