With Nissan having already confirmed a new generation of the Rogue for next year, there was no point in making any substantial changes to the 2013 model year version of the crossover that will continue its career in the U.S. with some updates to its equipment packages and a higher price tag.
In particular, the new model year brings an upgraded Special Edition Package that adds Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System and two additional speakers for a total of six to the previous list, which includes AM/FM/CD audio system with 4.3-inch color display and USB connectivity, steering wheel audio controls, 16-inch wheels, RearView Monitor and fog lights.
The Special Edition Package is available on Rogue S models for $1,200, which Nissan claims represents a savings of $1,500 over the cost of items if purchased separately.
For 2013, Nissan also presented a new Premium Edition, which replaces the Premium Package on SV models. It adds front fog lights and a Bose audio system with 7 speakers and subwoofer to the other standard items that include Nissan Navigation with 5-inch color touch screen, NavTraffic capability, Automatic Temperature Control, power sliding moonroof and auto headlights. This package is priced at $2,500.
Nissan has increased pricing of the 2013 Rogue by $780 for the FWD models and by $830 for the AWD variants, with the base model starting at $22,310 excluding destination.
