He has a license to kill, instantly charms all the pretty ladies and gets all the latest toys. And by “toys” we mean all kinds of vehicles, from trucks to Soviet battle tanks and of course, cars, lots of them.
The one he has been most associated with is the Aston Martin DB5, while his most recent drive was a DBS. In between, he has also sat behind the wheel of a Lotus Esprit that doubled as a submarine, a Jaguar XKR and some BMWs – the best of which, the Z8, was cut in half.
The name is Bond, James Bond. The world’s most famous (fictional) secret agent has been through more cars than martinis (you know, for Queen and country et al), most of them featuring amenities you don’t find on your options list like rocket launchers, machine guns or skis, all courtesy of Q.
Given that Double-O-Seven’s new movie, Skyfall, hits the big screen next month, Sky Movies created a video of every actor who has ever played the role, from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig, in what it describes as “one ultimate driving scene”.
If the “who is the best Bond” debate is getting a little old (ed’s note: Sean Connery, of course, with Pierce Brosnan a close second) then how about starting a new one called “what’s the best Bond car scene”?
