Ford has released UK pricing for the new Fiesta ST three-door hot hatch ahead of its market launch in March. It will be offered in two trims, with the base ST model starting at £16,995, which Ford says is “up to £2,000 less than the segment competitors”, and the better-equipped ST2 grade, priced at £17,995.
The performance-orientated version of the updated Fiesta series features a 1.6-liter turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine producing 180hp (182PS) and peak torque of 214 lb-ft (290Nm).
A standard-six speed manual drives the front wheels with the Blue Oval quoting a 0-62mph (100km/h) sprint time of 6.9 seconds, and a fuel economy of 47.9mpg UK with and CO2 emissions of 138g/km.
The three-door only Fiesta ST combines a unique suspension and steering tuning with a Torque Vectoring Control (eTVC) system and a 15mm lower ride-height over the regular models.
Standard specification includes 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, DAB radio, SYNC connectivity, a Thatcham CAT 1 alarm, Recaro seats, My Key and air conditioning for the base model, with the ST2 trim adding partial leather heated Recaro seats, Sony DAB radio, Ford keyless start, privacy glass and LED daytime running lamps for an additional £1,000.
