It might come extremely close, but the 488hp (495PS) F-Type V8S still falls behind the 543hp (550PS) XKR-S Convertible went it comes to sheer power and performance numbers.
Aside from improving the engine and making sure that it can handle all those ponies running under the hood, Jaguar also afforded the XKR-S Convertible a distinct look through an assortment of aero parts, special styling cues and alloy wheels, but that wasn’t enough for German tuning house Arden that has presented its own take on the drop-top sports car.
What Arden proposes in its new AJ 20 R-S program for the XKR-S Convertible are new trim pieces painted in whichever color you like for the grille, vents and spoilers, new hand-crafted, highly polished stainless steel mesh for the front grilles, two-piece spoilers up front, beefier side skirts, and rear vents.
Arden’s own 21-inch wheels, an optional leaping Jaguar bonnet ornament and a custom exhaust system with quad tailpipes complete the AJ 20 R-S package, while the company says it can also individualize the interior and even improve the performance of the V8 engine through its tuning program.
