China’s Great Wall brand is broadening the range of its UK market Steed pickup truck with a pair of special edition models named “Steed Chrome” and “Steed Tracker”, both of which go on sale this month.
The two trucks are powered by a 2.0-litre 16-valve turbocharged diesel engine paired to a 6sp manual and AWD, and come with added equipment and bespoke styling features, with Great Wall stating that they offer “savings of at least £800 over the accessories purchased individually”.
Based on the Steed S, the Chrome edition adds chrome side bars, sports bars, fog-lamp surround and rear-lamp finishers, stainless-steel door entry guards, an over-rail bedliner, tinted windows, metallic paint and carpet floor mats.
The more rugged Steed Tracker is also based on the “S” trim grade and benefits from special fit General Grabber All-Terrain Tyres, an over-rail bedliner, a towbar with audible monitor, front and rear mud flaps, rubber mats and metallic paint.
Both models are priced at £14,998.
