From the moment Mercedes-Benz published the first photos of the G 63 AMG 6×6 we knew it was just a matter of time until aftermarket companies started releasing their customizing propositions.
The first tuner to tease a package for the 6×6 truck is Latvian company Dartz Motorz, the maker of the armored Prombron SUV, famous for being originally available with leather upholstery made from the…foreskin of whale penises. Dartz’ interpretation of the G 63 AMG 6×6 is called the Sahara G-eopard and has been styled by Romanian designer Marius Dumitrascu.
While the car’s golden paint only looks like gold and reminds of a leopard’s skin (hence the name), the 24-inch Asanti Icelink Gold Bar wheels actually contain real gold bits. What good would 24-inch wheels with thin tires do in the desert is another question…
However, owners of a Sahara G-eopard – if Dartz ever gets to make one – will not buy this truck to test its off-road capabilities, but rather to be seen in one in Abu-Dhabi, Dubai or Moscow’s posh boulevards.
On the inside, the Dartz Sahara G-eopard will be fitted with BeoVision 3D television and a Bang & Olufsen audio system.Dartz will also provide owners of the G-eopard with a gold hookah in the portable smoking and dining rooms (yes, it comes with those too). Other amenities include are a yacht floor, a liquid dispenser with cooler and a standalone air-conditioner that will work independently from the car’s engine.
We don’t know how much a Sahara G-eopard would cost if Dartz made one, but for those who could afford a G 63 AMG 6×6 in the first place plus gold rims, price shouldn’t be an issue.
