Perhaps it’s a German thing, but while the Renault Kangoo never really caught up with the tuning industry, its re-badged and slightly more premium Mercedes-Benz Citan-offspring has, with a second company releasing a styling and performance kit for the van since it launched at the end of last year.
This time, the culprit is Hartmann Tuning that has presented not one, but two styling lines for the Citan, named “MetroStream” and “MetroProtect” respectively.
We’ll start our tour of the available styling packages with the “MetroProtect” that adds a protective bull bar up front with matching chrome side skirt and rear bars, plus red pin stripes and new set of alloy wheels.
The second option is the “MetroStream” that adorns the Mercedes van with an exclusive front grille and an aerodynamics kit comprising of front and rear aprons, and side skirts, along with a new wheels and a 25mm lowering kit.
Hartmann points out that the two kits can be combined, adding that it also offers other extras such as a power package with an ECU upgrade and an electronic accelerator pedal-kit.
