Land Rover just turned 65 on April 30 and aside from the usual festivities with a historical display of more than 130 vehicles at the company’s original testing ground at Packington Estate, the automaker presented a new special edition Defender named “LXV”, which is the Roman numeral for 65.
It is based on the standard Defender Hard Top and equipped with a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 120hp (122PS) and 360Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque, linked to a 6-speed manual.
On the outside, the LXV is finished in a Santorini Black paint with contrast Corris Grey roof, grille, headlight surrounds and facia, while riding on 16-inch Sawtooth alloy wheels and featuring special badges and a union flag decal on the tail gate.
The interior of the special edition boasts full leather seats with “LXV” embossed front headrests and unique orange contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel and center cubby.
In the United Kingdom, pricing for the Defender LXV starts at £28,765.
