With only a week left before its official presentation, information and images of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class continue to leak on the Internet. Following the official interior photos of the new flagship sedan, the prototypes caught on video at Mercedes’ plant and the leaked photo showing the front end of the car, we now get to see a new and different kind of set of images with the all-new S-Class.
The photo gallery was posted on a French forum dedicated to miniature models, so the S-Class you see in the images is a 1:18 scale model. However, since these die-cast models must replicate the real car in detail, we can safely say we are looking at the 2014 S-Class.
There are no big surprises, except maybe the front end of this Norev-made scale model, which shows a more toned-down bumper, different to the one shown in the leaked official photo. We may have been right to suspect that the version in the official pic belonged to a sportier trim line, as the scale model sports smaller, more rounded air intakes below the headlights – that’s probably what the standard S-Class will look like.
As for the rest of the car, the smaller taillights seem to integrate fairly well into the rear end while the profile brings that sort of understated elegance one should expect from an S-Class. Until Mercedes-Benz releases the official photos – or at least until new photos leak on the web, you can analyze the 2014 S-Class in the photo gallery below.
