BMW’s main exhibit at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza was a large luxury coupe concept developed together with one of Italy’s finest design houses and coachbuilders, Pininfarina.
You’ve probably read all about the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso V12 Coupe and seen the official video, but it’s one thing to see the car in the studio and another in a real environment.
The following video, courtesy of the folks over at The Car Addict, is probably the first one showing the Gran Lusso Coupe “in the wild” – if we’re allowed to use this expression to describe the very civilized Villa d’Este domain on the shores of Lake Como. We can see the car on the move, as it is parked to be displayed for visitors of the Concorso d’Eleganza, but we can hardly hear the V12 engine idling. However, if there’s one thing this video puts into context, it’s the size of the Gran Lusso – it’s enormous!
Just look at it. Now, I’m sure the name “7-Series Coupe” would fit it much better than 8-Series if it makes it to production. So, what do you think, should BMW build it?
