The palpable existence of Karma is a subject that brings about much debate, especially if the parties are informed and sufficiently vocal. However, you can’t deny that something happened when a woman who had stolen an SUV went straight to the McDonald’s drive-through where the owner of the said vehicle was working, and ultimately get caught.

It happened in Kennewick, a town of around 80,000 inhabitants from Washington State, on May 14. The vehicle in question is a 1994 Toyota 4Runner which the owner, Virginia Maiden, forgot to lock.

However after stealing the SUV, 22 year-old Katherine A. York was hungry, and it just so happened that she drove the stolen SUV right into the McDonald’s drive-through the owner was working at. She called the cops, the thief was arrested and the vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, the police discovered many stolen clothes inside, which will only add to the number of years she could spend behind bars. In this instance, at least, Karma had the same agenda as the law, so all of the above unfolded very quickly, in the space of a few hours.
