Behold what could very well be the production version of the Jaguar F-Type coupe, previewed by the C-X16 study, a car that is even prettier than its drop-top counterpart, with a swept-back look, slightly tapering rear end and huge rear window.
These patent renderings of the F-Type coupe come courtesy of German magazine AMS. What makes us think that this could be the real thing are some details such as the production exterior mirrors, side trims and door openers.
According to same source, Jaguar may offer the F-Type with a four-pot turbo motor, displacing just two liters, which would develop 240 hp – this particular variant, if it turns out to be real, would be nice to have with a proper manual box.
Not much else is known, aside from the fact that Ian Callum has done his job very well (again) and we can’t wait to see this F-Type coupe in the metal – it is better looking than the roadster, and it will likely be cheaper, stiffer and quieter, so it’s a quadruple win from where we’re standing.
