You may remember that in 2011, a Ferrari Enzo XX modified by Edo Competition ended up in the Atlantic Ocean at the Targa Newfoundland competition. Needless to say, the car was badly damaged and had to undergo extensive repairs.
In order to do that, its owner shipped it to Germany so that Edo Competition could take care of it. The removal of the salt water and all damaged parts represented the basis for the rebuild.
While they were at it, Edo Competition was asked by the owner to further upgrade the car’s performance and looks. The result is the Ferrari Enzo ZXX Evolution, with the name being a combination between the track-exclusive Ferrari FXX from which Edo drew inspiration for the exterior modifications and the owner’s first name, Zahir. The car’s 6.5-liter V12 has reportedly been pushed to 950 horsepower, with the rev limit now being 10,000 rpm.
The car also gained a completely new, made-to-measure interior, with the newly developed Edo ZXX rims completing the package. One and half years after the crash, the ZXX was flown back to Calgary, Canada, where the happy owner took delivery of it.
Scroll down to watch the saga of the ZXX in the video below and see how the car looks and sounds on the Autobahn in a second clip.
