Some five months after Ferrari blew the covers off its latest flagship supercar with the awkward name ‘LaFerrari’ at the 2013 Geneva Salon, the Italians are finishing up the development of their first ever hybrid model under full camouflage, which is kind of redundant if you think about it, especially since first deliveries are just around the corner.
A friend of supercar spotter Shmee150 was on hand at the company’s Fiorano circuit in Maranello where he captured two prototypes of the LaFerrari, one with heavy cladding and another with a simpler wrap.
One of the key highlights of any Ferrari model is the sounds produced by their powertrains, and the LaFerrari’s hybrid setup that pairs a traditional 6.3-liter V12 with an electric motor doesn’t disappoint, even though parts of the video were shot from a distance.
