For better or for worse, I doubt I’ll ever be stared in the face by the awkwardly-shaped steering wheel used to turn the wheels of the Ferrari LaFerrari, which is neither square, nor round, and like all other modern wheels that they do, it’s plagued by far too many buttons which are never where you left them.
Aside from that, I don’t have any problem with the Prancing Horse’s flagship offering, which announces to be one of the quickest road cars ever made. However, until some believable names get to drive, share their thoughts, and confirm or deny it, there’s not a whole lot we can do but watch the official videos put out by the Italian manufacturer.
The latest one places their F1 driver Fernando Alonso back in the driver’s seat of the LaFerrari, as the Spaniard hoons the wheels off it around the track before heading for Budapest and the Hungarian Grand Prix.
As usual, he makes the driving bit seem easy, even though it surely isn’t, when you have that kind of power on tap, and only rear-wheel drive to contend with – it does seem to understeer a bit too, as he approaches a corner a bit too quickly around one and a half minutes into the video.
