Nissan is giving us a heads up on its next brand new product, the 2014 Rogue crossover, with the release of a teaser sketch of the CUV’s front corner and a very short statement that reads, “The all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue will push the envelope of CUV design starting on September 10.”
If you’re keeping an eye on automotive events, you’ll know that September 10 is the first day of the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We mention this because while the Rogue nameplate is reserved for North America, there may be a European version of the car as well, possibly as a replacement for the similarly sized X-Trail (we hear that it will also take the place of the seven-seater Qashqai+2).
Spy photos (see below) suggest that the new Rogue will be very close in design to the Hi Cross Concept study shown both in Europe and in the USA last year, with the crossover built on Nissan’s new modular “CMF” chassis and offered in both front- and all-wheel drive versions.
