All it took was a little over a month for more than 600 creative minds to take part and send their proposals for a customized 2014 Lexus IS sports saloon in the special competition organized by Lexus and the design community at “deviantART”.
On Monday, Lexus announced the three finalists and the big winner who will see his sketch ushered into life at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas this November.
Rob Evans from Seattle, Washington took first place, followed by Lucia Lee of Pasadena, California, in second spot and Guanghao Huang from Southfield, Michigan in third place.
As well as seeing his dream car at SEMA, the first place winner will also receive a one-year lease of a 2014 Lexus IS F SPORT; $2,000 cash; 8,000 deviantART points; and a one-year premium membership to deviantART. The second and third place prizes included a $1,500 award and points and membership at deviantART, while the 25 semi-finalists will get a Lexus slim master hardcover notebook along with other devianART perks.
Lexus said that the winner’s design project will be created by the tuners at VIP Auto Salon over a period of 10 weeks.
