Motor shows are usually followed by a slew of rumors and reports about upcoming models or directions that the brands may take. Officials want to be asked about their plans, so that they can get the cue to provide ambiguous responses that are aimed to create more hype, instead of inform, and make us wonder what they actually mean – what the underlying truth is in what they’re saying.

However, that’s not always the case, and some stories are really straightforward and almost tell themselves… Take Auto Express’ report that details the collaboration between Aston Martin and AMG, a partnership that was previously also officially confirmed in July, but never fully explained.

Now we learn that it will take another three to four years for the first AMG-powered Astons to make their appearance, and that these cars are very likely candidates for the turbocharged V8 engines.

Still, the current generation of cars are not fit to get these new engines, and they will only be found under the bonnets of next-gen cars, which are set to arrive in, you guessed it, three to four years.
