If you’re keeping up with our new car reports from the Japanese market, you may remember that back in February, BMW released the special edition 116i Fashionista limited to 370 examples. The move proved to be a success, with BMW swiftly selling out all cars earlier than expected, so the Germans decided to offer a second run with some additional features, with production this time set at 490 examples.

The Fashionista version of the 116i hatch keeps the standard model’s 136PS (134bhp) 1.6-liter turbocharged four linked to an 8-speed automatic intact, with all upgrades focused on the styling and equipment.

This time, there are four instead of three exterior colors, named Arupin White III, Crimson Red, Deep Sea Blue (metallic) and Mineral White (metallic), all with a Dakota leather interior in an oyster shade.

Other notable features include bespoke 17-inch wheels in tires 205/50 R17, chrome trim bits on the exterior, matt silver highlights inside, automatic air-conditioning, rear view parking camera and a Driving Assist package.

The suggested retail price for the car in Japan is ¥ 3,660,000, which comes to around US$36,000 / €27,400.
