Most of the times, the high-speed incidents we show you in our Offbeat News section are either harmless, funny and / or baffling, and while that’s all fine and dandy, reality is, you should always remember that speed can and will get you killed when practiced under the wrong conditions or simply when the stars…or other drivers align against you.
In this incident partially captured on a dashboard-camera, a motorcyclist and his passenger were filmed passing cars at high speed on a highway near Izhevsk, which is the capital city of the Udmurt Republic in Russia.
The run ended tragically when the Suzuki biker crashed into a Lada (VAZ-2111), after the motorist reportedly tried to turn left. Russian news agencies stated that the motorcyclist was killed on the spot, while the passenger was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the Lada was also hospitalized.
While there’s no gore in the video, viewer discretion is advised.
