In an effort to add some substance to their previous burnout video, The Smoking Tire has finally released part two of the video – the one with the actual talking bit, where Matt Farah tells us why the new Corvette Stingray is such a great car… That is, if you don’t want one badly already.
It’s actually a fully-fledged 13-minute long review of the new ‘Vette, that actually gets fairly critical at several points, like when the gearbox is called slightly imprecise (you may hit 7th instead of 5th gear during spirited shifting, apparently).
High marks are given for its extensive use of many different technologies both in manufacturing and in operation, as well as for the engine, the interior and the styling – the latter really shined since the body was finished in ‘Laguna Blue,’ which I think is the top color pic for the new Stingray.
Moreover, when the new LT1 V8’s power is not used to shred the tires, it reportedly propels the car forward very well too… But we’re not the ones who drove it (yet) so our opinion on what it’s like to drive doesn’t count (yet) – Matt Farah’s does, and you can watch the video by scrolling until after the virtual jump.
