There has certainly been no lack of information and media material surrounding the upcoming Need for Speed movie, but the official trailer eluded us. Up until today, that is, as DreamWorks Studios’ movie adaptation of Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed (NFS) franchise now comes with its first cinematic trailer, with more to follow.

The gasoline- (…and replica car) fueled movie is headed to theaters in March 2014, a few months before the release of the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, the success of which, we assume, NFS creators hope to replicate.

Through the NFS trailer, we get a taste of what’s to come in the movie, with a reasonable sample of the featured cars, including the protagonist’s (played by Aaron Paul) feisty looking and heavily customized, Shelby GT500.

You’ll find the video right after the break.
