With a starting price of £8,399 (€9,940) for the base 3TIME trim level, the MG3 is one of Britain’s cheapest superminis (sub-compact). For this amount of money, MG offers an array of standard features including front LED daytime running lights, electronic hill hold, six airbags, MP3-compatible CD player, electronic stability control, corner brake control and traction control.

The UK’s CarBuyer reviewed the MG3’s range-topping model 3STYLE and gave it good marks for exterior design and equipment, even going as far as describing the value for money as “incredible”. They also rated the interior as roomy, but had some observations about the quality of materials used in the cabin.

The ride quality was criticized for being choppy at low speeds, while steering was judged to be quite heavy. The MG3 received some minus points as well for being only available with the 104hp 1.5-liter petrol engine, which returns an average fuel economy of 48.7 mpg UK (5.8 l/100 km).
