Nissan has shared fresh photos of its second generation Qashqai, known as the Nissan Dualis in Japan and Australia, as it was unloading the wrapped examples of its compact crossover at the location in England where it will hold the premiere of the car later today at 14:10 GMT.
From spy shots as well as Nissan’s own teasers, the new Qashqai looks like a shrunk down version of the bigger 2014 Rogue / X-Trail.
Set to go on sale in Europe and other (select) markets around the world early next year, Nissan’s crossover model will feature a revised engine lineup that will include the brand’s new turbocharged 1.2-liter petrol unit along with several diesel powerplants.
Nissan has made some big claims about the Qashqai, including that it will “redefine the crossover sector and set new standards across the board”. We’ll soon see how much of that holds true.
