Toyota is leaving plenty to our imagination with its latest release regarding a new study for a “Driver Awareness Research Vehicle” that will be officially revealed at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show next Wednesday, November 20.
Besides the fact that the Japanese carmaker did not publish any photos of the car whatsoever, the release itself is has an unnecessary…air of mystery about it:
“What if we could reduce driver distraction before ever putting a key in the ignition? That’s the focus of the Driver Awareness Research Vehicle that Toyota will show.”
If you’re still with us (we won’t blame if you’ve already changed page, but we will tip our hats to you if you didn’t…), Toyota added that at the show, it will also share findings on driver distractions associated with voice command systems, and talk about a new driving simulator “that will enhance our understanding of how drivers and cars interact as we move closer to fully automated forms of driving”.
