The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer (AT for short) is a minivan that’s designed to carry up to five people in the comfort and security of front-wheel drive. Therefore, it is not designed to be the sharpest handling car on the road, nor is it by any means the fastest or meanest-looking. That said, it’s probably the least likely model in the entire range to ever be made into an M-car.

However, there’s no case for any of the above in the no man’s land of PhotoShop, as the rendering you see posted here courtesy of X-Tomi undoubtedly shows.

If you were wondering, it is a hypothetical M2 AT clad in all of the latest M-inspired panels and riding on distinctly-Motorsport wheels. Seen only from the front three-quarter view, the speculative rendering shows a car that with all-wheel drive could really rival the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG – with a noticeable body kit in the vein of the Mercedes’, it’d probably turn just as many heads.

Actually, it would be a direct rival to a hot B-Class, but that’s not happening, so the A-Class is the closest actual contender.
