What you see pictured above, is a crop showing the name of McLaren’s third model in the range that will make its world premiere at the 84th International Geneva Motor Show in the first week of March.
According to the British brand, the 650S “takes learnings from both the 12C as well as the sell-out McLaren P1 and will be positioned between the two on McLaren Automotive’s supercar grid”.
While McLaren is refraining from providing any details, from what we understand, the name refers to the car’s output at 650PS or 641hp, up from the 12C’s 616hp delivered by the 3.8-liter Twin Turbo V8 engine.
Not to be confused with the more affordable, entry level P13 that is currently in the works, earlier reports have suggested that the 650S is McLaren’s answer to the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
