The time to unwrap the new BMW X4 sports crossover is almost here, as the Bavarians just released a teaser clip on their Instagram account confirming the online launch for next Thursday, March 6.
For those of you keeping an eye on the automotive show dates, that’s after the press days of the Geneva Motor Show (March 4-5), where BMW will premiere the 2-Series Active Tourer, X3 facelift and 4-Series Gran Coupe, so we’re guessing the X4 will make its physical debut at the New York Auto Show in mid-April.
We only catch a fuzzy, quick glimpse of BMW’s baby X6 in the video, but the near-production concept from last year’s Shanghai Auto Show and a number of lightly camouflaged test prototypes paint a pretty clear picture of what the X4 will look like on the outside.
As for the rest of the car, being built on the platform of the X3 means it will share a similar range of four-cylinder and six-pot petrol and diesel engines connected to either 6-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions (depending the unit and the region).
