Just because we focus on automobiles doesn’t mean we don’t care about the world of two wheels, and since Honda did tell us about its two new futuristic-looking concept bikes revealed today at the 30th Osaka Motorcycle Show 2014 in Japan, here we are…
The two exhibition models planned for production are the flat-black NM4-01 and its white-colored sibling, the NM4-02, with the latter neatly incorporating utility boxes on either side of the body in the design.
Honda said that the NM4 is “inspired by futuristic machines seen in the anime and manga television and film styles, known collectively as ‘Japanimation'” adding that, it “represents a machine capable of crossing traditional two-wheeled lines and reaching out to a wider audience” because of its design that evolves the cruiser concept.
The NM4 utilizes the same 745cc twin-cylinder engine found in other Honda NC models, and is paired to a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) that allows the driver to switch between automatic twist-and-go D and S mode, plus a trigger-operated computer game-style manual MT mode.
