In a way, I understand why this Dubai resident chose to apply a gold wrap to his Maserati GranTurismo and to adorn it with Swarovski crystals; it’s because no one would have ever noticed his car if he had it how it left the Modena assembly plant…
It has to be really frustrating for people with big egos and even bigger bank accounts to realize that their €100,000 car is not going to attract anyone’s attention in a place like Dubai, United Arab Emirates. That’s why the attention-seeking owner of this Maserati GranTurismo decided to wrap it in gold and put some Swarovski crystals on top.
According to the uploader of the video, a similar gold wrap costs between 20,000 and 25,000 Emirati Dirhams ($5,445 – $6,806) in Dubai, but the owner has spent much more on the GranTurismo given that the Maserati trident at the front, the lettering at the rear, the boot trim and side vents trim are all made of Swarovski crystals.
