The all-new Mini Hatch offers more customizing choices than ever, claims the BMW Group-owned automaker, which has revealed its Original Accessories program for the core model. Available from the car’s launch in spring 2014, the program allows buyers to add personal design and functionality features to their new Minis.

The new Original Mini Accessories program includes completely redesigned includes exterior touches, interior detailing and exclusive light alloy wheels. You still get the usual roof graphics, exterior mirror caps and additional headlamps, but the line adds new features such as the four Mini Characters, called Vivid Green, Speedwell Blue, John Cooper Works Pro and Essential Black, each representing design concepts for the exterior and interior.

For the first time, the accessories are matched in design and color, meaning the new Mini can be fitted with a whole range of optional extras, each available in up to four design lines, including textile and all-weather floor mats, sun protection elements, door sill cover strips, exterior and interior mirror caps, roof and side graphics, side indicator surrounds, key lanyards, protective covers and luggage compartment items.

The Vivid Green line features dashes of rich green against a black background, while Speedwell Blue reinterprets the red, white and blue of the Union Jack and combines it with a warm brown tone, and the John Cooper Works Pro reflects a passion for racing with a checquered flag in black, red and grey. Finally, the Essential Black line includes a checquered pattern that runs diagonally.

Other parts that can be found in Original Mini Accessories program are new 17-inch and 18-inch forged aluminum wheels in cross-spoke design and the Mini key cap, which has an integrated NFC (Near Field Communication) chip for non-contact data exchange between the MINI key and the customer’s smartphone.
