Russia, the country that reduced the number of time zones it ran by from 11 to 9 in 2010, can be compressed into 800 square meters by expert miniaturists with an eye for detail and a (heck of a) lot of time on their hands.

What you see in the videos below is the second largest of its kind in the world, and the result of hundreds upon hundreds of collective man-hours spent creating then positioning the models.

The project is called Grand Model Russia and it’s now been covered in a half-hour documentary by RT.
