With every major carmaker having long acknowledged the importance of the Chinese car market, foreign companies are now trying to identify and even create trends from within, with the help of locally-based studios.
At the upcoming 13th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (or Auto China 2014) in April, Nissan’s freshly established Nissan Design China (NDC), which opened in 2011, will introduce its second concept in a row after last year’s well received Me sedan study at the Auto Shanghai 2013.
The Japanese firm is keeping the pictures of the as-of-yet, unnamed sedan concept to itself for now, underlining that it is a study “for the Chinese digital lifestyle” and that it “expresses Nissan’s passion and focus in the world’s most dynamic auto market”.
