What we have here are the best spy pictures yet of the next generation Hyundai i20, spotted ahead of its rumored world premiere at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October.
Whereas the front end of the car remains hidden from plain sight, we get a clearer view of the rear end, including the shape and styling of the tail lamps and the faux covers of the C-Pillars that create the illusion of a continuous window surface, as well as of the interior.
The dashboard styling has a similar mature feel to that of the new Sonata, being more sober and less playful than what we’re used to seeing from Hyundai in recent years.
In Europe, Hyundai’s answer to the Ford Fiesta and Renault Clio should continue with a similar engine range to the current model that is available with 1.2-liter and 1.4-liter petrol units and 1.1-liter and 1.4-liter CRDi diesels.
There has also been talk about a sports edition marketed under Hyundai’s new N badge that was formally introduced on the firm’s current i20 WRC challenger, but Hyundai has yet confirmed these plans.
