It’s no high performance model of the likes of BMW‘s M or Audi’s RS-badged crossovers, but Range Rover’s new Evoque Autobiography Dynamic Edition does spice things up with added power and the promise of sharper handling through a revised chassis.
Revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, the new Evoque model sports an upgraded version of the SUV’s 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that gains 45PS (44hp) and 60Nm of torque, taking the total to 285PS (241hp) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft).
A more responsive ZF 9-speed automatic transmission with active driveline as standard channels power to all four wheels, with Land Rover quoting a zero to 60mph (96km/h) time of 6.7 seconds and a limited top speed of 140mph (225km/h).
Available in “coupe” and five-door body styles, the Autobiography Dynamic also features a retuned steering system, upgraded suspension geometry, firmer spring rates and recalibrated adaptive dampers, along with bigger 350mm front brake discs.
A subtle styling kit together with 20-inch forged alloy wheels, an available bespoke to this model Phoenix Orange paint finish and a re-trimmed interior complete the picture.
If you prefer the show without the go, Range Rover also offers a new Autobiography Edition for the Evoque, with styling enhancements both inside and out.
