Subaru has taken another stab at the Viziv concept, the third consecutive redesign after the original study made its debut at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show and the modestly revised Viziv Evolution that followed at the 2013 Tokyo show last November.
While the Geneva Motor Show Viziv 2 keeps a similar profile to the two previous generation concepts, it adopts a four-door solution with two large scissor doors up front, and a pair of sliding rear doors. The design itself has been reworked and the Viziv 2 has a more chiseled appearance with stronger lines and less curves on the outside.
The interior of the 4.4-meter (173.2-inches) long concept is brand new in styling, but continues to offer a four-seat layout.
Power comes from Subaru’s newly developed hybrid system that links a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel ‘DIT’ (Direct-Injection Turbo) Boxer engine to three electric motors and a Lineartronic (CVT) automatic transmission.
Subaru made no mention of any production plans, but since it continues to work on the project, there could be something more than a simple concept here.
