Skoda’s presence at the Geneva Motor Show was marked by the new VisionC concept, but besides that, the Czechs also unveiled three new sporty Monte Carlo editions for the Citigo, Yeti and Rapid Spaceback. These models add to the Fabia and Fabia Combi, for which Monte Carlo versions were already available.
Monte Carlo models feature sports seats, aluminum wheels, sporty exterior and interior design features, new colors and more comprehensive standard equipment.
For the Skoda Citigo, the Monte Carlo edition is available for both the petrol and CNG models. Standard features include black 15-inch “Auriga” design aluminum wheels, 15mm lowered sports chassis, tinted windows and sunroof, black radiator grille frame, front spoiler, side mirrors, roof-edge spoiler and diffuser, as well as Monte Carlo graphics.
On the inside, the Citigo Monte Carlo brings sports seats with a unique fabric design in black and red with vertical grey stripes, a red-stitched leather steering wheel, handbrake lever and gear knob, as well as black roof lining, dashboard, carpeting and interior pillar trim.
A similar treatment is offered on the Skoda Yeti Monte Carlo, including black radiator grille frame and front spoiler, black 17-inch aluminum wheels, tinted back side windows and rear windscreen. The roof and the A, C and D pillars are all painted black, as is the roof rail and the exterior mirror housing. The door sills are also painted black. At the rear, the car also gets a black diffuser.
The cabin gets a 3-spoke leather steering wheel with red stitching, leather gear knob and handbrake lever, fabric sports seats with black-red-grey combination and grey vertical stripes, stainless steel pedals and decorative door sill trims in synthetic aluminum with the Monte Carlo logo. The Yeti Monte Carlo is available with the entire engine range, except the basic 1.6-liter 105PS (103hp) diesel engine.
Finally, the Skoda Rapid Spaceback Monte Carlo gets similar features including black radiator grille frame, black honeycomb air inlet and black-back headlamps and fog lamps. The StylePLUS package also brings black exterior mirror housings, panoramic sunroof with black roof-edge spoiler, a long rear windscreen as well as darkened tail lights. The black rear diffuser and black 16-inch aluminium wheels complete the exterior changes.
On the inside, the Rapid Spaceback Monte Carlo gets leather steering wheel, gear knob and the handbrake lever, black dashboard and door trim, sports seats with grey vertical stripes and stainless steel pedals.
