Whichever way you want to look at it, placing a diesel-powered Ford Focus Station Wagon with some 115-horses under the hood against one of the world’s fastest production vehicles, the almighty Koenigsegg Agera R that pulls 1,140-horses (or 1,115HP for the pre-2013MY) from a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8, is a lost battle.
There’s no point whatsoever in playing the mystery card about who will win and the same applies even if you give the Blue Oval Estate a half-a-mile head start in a one-mile race, as Matt Farah and the guys from Super Speeders did in this instance.
Still, for some inexplicable reason, it’s quiet entertaining to watch the Koenigsegg literally fly by the Focus – which is why we’re sharing this clip in the first place.
Just to wrap your head around what the Agera R is capable of, here are some performance numbers taken from Koenigsegg’s own website:
Top Speed 440 km/h (273mph), 0-300 km/h (186.5 mph) in 14.53 sec, 300-0 km/h in 6.66 sec, 0-200 mph (321 km/h) in 17.68 sec, 200-0 mph in 7.28 sec.
