You probably remember that Aston Martin last month unveiled the V8 Vantage N430 and DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White editions at the Geneva Motor Show last month. Well, the British automaker will do exactly the same thing at the New York Auto Show, except for a minor name change for the V8 Vantage N430, which has been baptized V8 Vantage GT for the U.S. market.
Available in coupe or roadster form, the race-inspired 2015 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT is priced from $99,900 RRP in the U.S. Powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine producing 430 hp, the V8 Vantage GT is offered with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed Sportshift II automated manual transmission. With a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h) and a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds, the Vantage GT delivers identical performance with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage S.
The Vantage GT features styling cues inspired from the world of racing, more specifically from the Vantage GT4 race car. Dark-themed exterior details include graphite painted diamond-turned alloy wheels alongside black headlamp bezels, side window surrounds and textured tailpipe finishers. Clear taillamps with black surrounds continue the theme at the rear, with the model being available with a series of eye-catching liveries with optional graphics packs. North American deliveries will begin in third quarter this year.
As for the DB9 Carbon Edition, there’s nothing new here either. Just like in Europe, the model is available in two flavors, Carbon Black or Carbon White. The former receives a dark-themed makeover with carbon details, while the latter replaces black with Stratus White but keeps the special detailing. The Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition is priced from $199,995 RRP, with first deliveries to North American customers beginning in quarter three of this year.
