One of the benefits of being an official BMW DTM racing driver is that you can order BMW Individual to build a car exactly to your specification. That’s previsely what BMW Team RMG driver Marco Wittmann did when he ordered a BMW Individual M6 Coupé “Fire Orange”.
The name comes from the car’s color, a unique “Fire Orange” that contrasts with the black roof, black mirror caps and the high gloss black accents on the grille and window trim.
The combination of colors from the exterior is carried over in the cabin as well, with carbon fiber trim being combined with accents in Fire Orange. Fine-grain Merino leather in Black with BMW Individual contrast stitching in Kyalami Orange complete the interior changes.
The rest of the car is standard, meaning that it is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 552 hp (560PS) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
The BMW M6 Coupé sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). If the M Driver’s Package is selected, top speed is unlocked to 305 km/h (189 mph).
