In spite of being based on front-drive biased underpinnings, it seems that Audi has added a little bit of frisk to its new, lighter and more advanced TT models, at least the ones with all-wheel drive, like the TTS.
Several examples were recently spotted around the soaking wet Nürburgring, where they looked planted and composed most of the time, though some powersliding did occur.
Nobody outside of Audi seems to have actually driven any of the new TTs yet, but with up to 90 kilos (~200 lbs) less weight than the outgoing model to carry around and 306 hp to power out of corners, we don’t expect it to be bad – it needs to do justice to that mighty fine interior that everybody’s been talking about.
Will it handle in a more flamboyant manner than past TTs? We’ll have to wait for the first reviews and a chance to get behind the wheel and see what it’s like.
