Peugeot deserves credit for going all out and creating the RCZ R. Even the regular RCZ was a revelation for the brand when it was introduced, and the extra dose of horsepower and aggressive makeover of the R improve on that car’s formula.
As you probably already know, it has a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 266hp, which means it sprints past the benchmark speed in under six seconds. The engine, which is the most powerful 1.6 currently in production, is the star of the show, according to CarBuyer, as it offers immense punch for its small displacement.
In the review below, the car’s handling is also praised, even though the use of a firm suspension setup in conjunction with a torsion beam at the back mean the ride comfort is not excellent.
But despite all that, it’s still a recommendable sports car that proved it’s fast and also looks quite unique parked alongside anything you may have, even more expensive cars – if you can get past the badge, of course…
