The Chevy Corvette Stingray that Jay Leno recently bought is a very rare example of the first series of C2 models that came out in 1963. It had been altered by owners over the years, and it even came with a trailer hitch. However, Jay gave the order to return it to exactly its original spec, seventeen-piece hubcaps and all…
By all intents and purposes, the car you see in the video below is now a museum piece, featuring all original and period correct parts. The aforementioned hubcaps were a 1963 model exclusive, as they were later deemed far too complicated to manufacture and the Vette gained steel stamped ones instead.
Obviously, the car’s highlight was its shape, especially since it’s of the early cars that came with the split rear window.
