The Qoros 3 Hatch is now available to order in China with a starting price of RMB 119,900 ($19,230) for the entry-level Essence model. Prices were announced at a special National Launch Event in Shanghai, with the new model being available with a choice of four trim levels with five variants, naturally-aspirated or turbocharged 1.6-liter engines and six-speed manual or six-speed DCT automatic transmissions.
The Qoros 3 Hatch’s entry-level Essence model features a comprehensive list of standard equipment, including Qoros’ 8-inch touchscreen Multi Media Hub (Qoros MMH), 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning keyless start and electronic stability control (ESC), among others. QorosQloud connectivity is offered as an option. The Essence model is powered by a naturally-aspirated 126hp 1.6-liter engine with six-speed manual transmission.
The Experience trim level adds standard features including QorosQloud connectivity with 3G, leather multifunction steering wheel with cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, tyre pressure indicator, a rear parking camera, and an upgraded six-speaker 150-watt audio system. The model is powered by the same naturally-aspirated engine but gets a standard a six-speed DCT automatic transmission. The Experience model starts from RMB 139,900 ($22,436).
Moving up in the range, the Experience Plus trim adds a one-touch powered glass sunroof, 17-inch ‘Hardspike’ alloy wheels and the option of the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine producing 156 hp and 210 Nm (155 lb-ft). The Experience Plus model is priced from RMB 149,900 ($24,040), while versions fitted with the turbocharged engine start from RMB 157,900 ($25,325).
Finally, the range-topping Elegance model adds ‘dusk-sensing’ auto on/off Bi-Xenon headlights, 18-inch ‘Gemini’ alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated and powered front seats (with two-setting memory for the driver), automatic folding door mirrors and rear camera with dynamic guideline and distance sensors. The Elegance model is fitted as standard with the 156hp turbocharged engine and is priced from RMB 171,900 ($27,570).
