So, The Crew was announced last year with a trailer that didn’t know if it wanted to focus on car customization, racing on-road, off-road, crashing or the social side of things: actually creating and being part of a car clique.
Now, Ubisoft got its act together much better for E3 2014, and they showed off actual gameplay, which looks like a ton of manic (and slightly arcadey) fun, yet what was more interesting was the coast-to-coast drive trailer, which featured sped up footage of an epic drive from one side of the map to the other.
The sheer (promised) size of the map, which will span the entire US and feature most of the important cities and what’s in between them, will make the game worth trying alone, especially if you, like me, are more into just driving than just racing all the time.
This game looks like it will cater for that, thus placing it much higher on the list of games to wait for in 2014.
